This innovative addition to the commercial aviation interiors portfolio is illuminating interior design and style. Manufactured with Infused Imaging™ technology, KYDEX® Lumina™ shines as privacy screens, class dividers, galley and bar space accents, light diffusers, backlit décor, and more. Moving beyond traditional translucent materials, this specialty thermoplastic selectively allows light to pass through the material, creating silhouettes.
Adding intrigue to aviation interior design is not the only attraction of KYDEX® Lumina™. This material is a low heat release, compliant aviation sheet created specifically to support innovative ideas for backlit applications. KYDEX® Lumina™ meets flammability, heat release, and smoke development requirements outlined in FAR 25.853 (a) and (d) in all thicknesses.
Designed with LED aircraft lighting and customer feedback in mind, KYDEX® Lumina™ gives decorative freedom to backlit panels and accents for aviation interiors. It also has excellent formability characteristics and is resistant to chemical reagents and cleaners commonly used in aviation interiors.
