Dear SEKISUI SPI Customer,
These are extraordinary times. At SEKISUI SPI, we embrace our obligation to respond to urgent requests for KYDEX® and ALLEN® materials being used on devices or applications directly related to COVID-19.
Our people and processes are designed for rapid response through our Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) model.
Our customers are significantly increasing production of lifesaving products such as ventilators, hospital beds, sterilization units, and other products for support and care of those affected by COVID-19. We are grateful for everything these manufacturers are doing to improve the infrastructure of America’s healthcare system.
In response to this unprecedented event, the KYDEX® team is 100% committed to supporting the efforts of the medical community. As confirmed cases of COVID-19 increase, the US healthcare system will be put to the test. At SEKISUI SPI, we are seeing growing requests for KYDEX® and ALLEN® materials for use in these life saving devices.
To support our customers who are producing these devices, we are making orders that support COVID-19 a priority by expediting orders as they are identified. Please contact your Customer Collaboration Specialist if you have a COVID-19 related order.
We assure you we have every intention to maintain full production. As you may know, on March 19, 2020, the Governor of Pennsylvania ordered the shut down all non-life-sustaining businesses. According to the mandate, SEKISUI SPI falls under “Plastics Products Manufacturing” and is a life-sustaining business. We will continue to produce your orders in our facilities in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
